about

Track of The Week is brought to you by the music house 2110, to showcase independent artists and bands we love and to give you the opportunity to sync them for your ad/film/promo/trailer/TV theme/wedding 1st dance/funeral or children's party.

This week's track comes from producer, keyboard maestro, Moog endorsee and all round purveyor of funk JD73, aka Dan Goldman. Dan spent several years touring with Morcheeba, before heading out on his own. Since then he's worked with Corinne Bailey Rae and Nate James, remixed Nightmares on Wax and had his debut album released via Philadelphia's brilliant label Ropeadope.

A little bit dark and a little bit edgy, Tom Tom is based around a hard driving groove, with some tight keyboard flourishes thrown in. Don't forget to stick around to the end, where there's an amazing sax solo from the late, great Jason Rae of The Haggis Horns.
